The UK Royal Navy’s Type 26 City-class frigates will receive five Mission Bay Handling Systems (MBHS) from Rolls-Royce under a contract that was recently awarded. Under a contract with BAE Systems Surface Ships Limited, Rolls-Royce’s Peterborough, Ontario plant will construct the MBHS units.

The firm was already chosen for three of the UK Royal Navy’s first batch of frigates, making this new contract the eighth MBHS given for the Type 26 program. The first comprehensive system is scheduled for delivery later this summer.
