SpaceWERX has awarded True Anomaly, a technological company that develops cutting-edge hardware and software systems to assure the sustainable security of space, a $1.6 million Direct-to-Phase II contract cantered around Tactically Responsive Space (“TacRS”). The company’s job under this contract is to help the Department of the Air Force (“DAF”) with its most urgent problems. The company’s Jackal Autonomous Orbital Vehicle (“AOV”) is being enhanced in order to better fulfil the rigorous requirements of the TacRS mission set.
In this contract, True Anomaly will concentrate on three primary deliverables: quick payload integration, showcasing enhanced capabilities in the Jackal AOV responsive propulsion system, and advancing the geosynchronous orbit baseline technology. The company will continue to improve the system’s performance envelope for the forthcoming VICTUS HAZE mission and beyond, and assist the Air Force Research Laboratory and SpaceWERX in achieving their objectives of strengthening mission flexibility and a quick response to changing operational needs.
Even Rogers, CEO and co-founder of True Anomaly, stated, “The ideal vehicle for a Tactically Responsive Space mission provides flexibility and a high degree of manoeuvrability to support operations across multiple orbits and inclinations. The Jackal Autonomous Orbital Vehicle from True Anomaly was created specifically for this use. In order to provide the DoD with technology that can react quickly to the constantly shifting threat landscape in the domain, our team will continue to accelerate and improve the Jackal AOV’s capabilities within the terms of this contract.”
The statement was made by True Anomaly that it has been awarded a $30 million contract by the U.S. Space Force Space Systems Command for the VICTUS HAZE TacRS mission. Furthermore, the business is helping Gravitics as a subcontractor on SpaceWERX’s $1.7 million SBIR Direct-to-Phase II contract.
