The three businesses will take advantage of their synergies and skills to market together by leveraging their individual competencies. Both guided and unguided Thales Belgium rockets will be installed in the AREX ZMU 03/05 turret.
One feature that sets AREX ZMU unmanned turrets apart is their modular construction. These Polish-engineered and -made systems may be adjusted to fit any weapon in a range of calibers from 5.56 mm to 40 mm. ZMU turrets weigh 20% less than alternative alternatives.
Fast servicing and repairs, as well as simple updates and modernization, are made possible by the ZMU 03/05 modular design. Double optical sensors and gun stabilization are features found on all AREX remote-controlled weapon stations.
In response to the need for an effective C-AUS solution, Thales Belgium created the Precision Guided Munition FZ275 LGR, which bridges the gap between high-end missiles, guns, cannons, and unguided rockets. For light-armored targets such as buildings, ground-based aircraft, light-armored vehicles, radar, command centers, etc., the FZ275 LGR increases precision.
The system can also be used to counter drone threats with an easy-to-use and affordable solution that can target UAS at up to 3 km in range and 2.5 km in height. This is achieved by utilizing the newly developed FZ123 warhead on existing unguided rocket motors and with the majority of Thales’ rocket launchers.
