Leading supplier of telecom and broadband equipment, Sercomm Corporation, is happy to announce that their I-TEMP 10G SFP+ ONU has been certified for use with Harmonic’s cOS PON OLT portfolio for XGS-PON and 10G EPON. The 10G pluggable ONU joins the list of previously certified stand-alone models, marking a substantial improvement that gives network operators a strong and adaptable solution to fulfill a variety of deployment demands.
Harmonic and Sercomm have teamed up to certify Sercomm’s I-TEMP 10G SFP+ ONU with Harmonic’s cOS PON OLT portfolio, offering operators flexible and scalable broadband solutions. Dan Gledhill of Harmonic highlighted the collaboration’s role in expanding networks and enhancing services, while Derek Elder of Sercomm emphasized their commitment to delivering versatile, high-performance fiber solutions.
The innovative I-TEMP 10G PON SFP+ ONU offers flexible, cost-effective solutions for various deployment scenarios. In MDUs, it acts as an uplink to Harmonic’s Wave or Pebble RPDs, delivering multi-gig DOCSIS broadband over existing coax, or can pair with Harmonic switches to provide Ethernet connectivity. It’s also ideal for community Wi-Fi and security cameras, offering secure uplinks, and for real-time network monitoring of critical infrastructure. Additionally, the ONU can support Passive Optical LAN, plugging directly into SFP+ ports and enabling large-scale deployments over distances up to 20km.
