Raytheon Technologies (RTX) has secured a $1.1 billion contract from the U.S. Navy to manufacture the AIM-9X Block II air-to-air missiles, a key weapon system that enhances the Navy’s air combat capabilities.
The AIM-9X Block II is a highly advanced short-range missile featuring improved targeting precision, enhanced agility, and greater resistance to electronic countermeasures. It is designed to provide U.S. Navy pilots with a decisive edge in aerial combat and superior defense against emerging threats.
