The Middle East Propulsion Company (MEPC), the Saudi Ministry of Defence’s prime contractor for F100 engine maintenance services, has granted Pratt & Whitney an F100 engine contract for a material management program. The $65.8 million maintenance contract provides engine services and spare parts to maintain the F-15 Eagles of the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF).
Josh Goodman, senior director of Pratt & Whitney’s F100 Program, said, “This contract marks a transition to a more proactive and comprehensive sustainment solution that offers the Royal Saudi Air Force end-to-end efficiencies and greater affordability.” “Pratt & Whitney will take on a larger role in maximizing fleet readiness, freeing up the customer to concentrate on mission-critical tasks.”
This arrangement will streamline Pratt & Whitney’s access into engine data and inventory management procedures by strategically integrating the company with MEPC and RSAF. To enhance operational readiness, optimize module turn times, boost engine availability, and increase predictive maintenance, Pratt & Whitney will supply forecasting, technical assistance, and timely material delivery. This contract’s work will commence in January 2024 and continue until the latter part of 2025.
