About the guest speaker:

Dr. Al-Naimi is the Network Operations Executive Director at Qatar Satellite Company – Es’hailSat. Es’hailSat is a Qatari satellite company that was established in 2010 and provides satellite services to its stakeholders and other customers.

Dr. Al-Naimi graduated from the University of Bridgeport (USA) in 1991 with a B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering. He joined the Qatari Navy as a communication officer where he was in charge of telecommunication systems on board the ships. In 2001, Dr. Al-Naimi pursued his education where he obtained his M.Sc. (Hons) degree from George Washington University and from the same university a Ph.D. (Hons) degree in Optical Network in 2011. During Ph.D., he has published conference & journal papers in ROADMs Optimization.

In 2012 he joined Al Jazeera Children Channel as Deputy of Technical Department as a secondee. At the end of 2013, Dr. Al-Naimi joined Es’hailSat company.
