The United States Air Force awarded Pathfinder Digital a contract to deploy its Global Broadcast Service (GBS) satellite terminals. PathFinder’s answer is a flyaway terminal with airline check-ability in the Ka/Ku band, called the BAT-GBS-85. Wideband Global Satcom (WGS) testing by Army Strategic Command (ARSTRAT) has been completed, and the BAT-GBS-85 is now approved to operate on the WGS network. Furthermore, the terminal was certified following the completion of demanding environmental testing in accordance with Military Standard (MIL-STD) 810G, which attested to its dependability in the face of severe temperatures, humidity, salt, dust, wind, vibration, and shock.
In order to facilitate the rapid distribution of data and visual products for mission support and in-theatre information transfer, the GBS program functions as a broadcast capability. The PathFinder Digital solution can be used on the GBS from any location.
“The BAT-GBS-85 terminal from PathFinder is compact, effective, affordable, and easy to use. According to PathFinder Digital LLC CEO Roger McGarrahan, “We are very happy to be fielding these terminals with the US Air Force for operation on the GBS network.
