The first-ever in-orbit commercial spacecraft docking with IS-901 was accomplished by MEV-1, and Northrop Grumman is still dedicated to upholding its history of space sustainability.
A further major achievement for the business came in 2021 when MEV-2 connected with IS-10-02 while the satellite was still in orbit, with no service interruptions reported. For both MEVs, the first service time lasted five years. The lifespans of several commercial GEO satellites will be prolonged by an extra four years with these latest contract revisions.
