The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) has awarded Alpha Omega a prestigious 5-year Data Stewardship contract worth up to $43 million through the National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS) organization.
According to the deal, Alpha Omega will play a critical role in supporting the Data Stewardship Division (DSD) by providing operational support through the supply and maintenance of essential tools, systems, services, policies, and procedures. This complete strategy will make it easier to preserve, disseminate, and provide crucial environmental data throughout time.
The Data Stewardship contract is Alpha Omega and NESDIS’ fourth cooperation, increasing their alliance in IT service delivery, operations and maintenance, and cloud migration. Alpha Omega’s wide portfolio of active contracts demonstrates its commitment to improving climate science and supporting environmental conservation and ecological activities at both NOAA and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
