Muon Space is pleased to announce the successful completion of a $56.7 million Series B financing round led by Activate Capital. Muon Space is an end-to-end space systems provider that designs, constructs, and runs mission-tailored constellations of low-earth orbit (LEO) satellites. The round was joined by Acme Capital as well as previous investors Costanoa Ventures, Radical Ventures, and Congruent Ventures. The expansion of Muon’s HaloTM Platform is accelerated by this equity funding, which also puts the business in a position to expand the range of services it offers to an expanding clientele.
In 2024, Muon Space has signed over $100 million worth of contracts with customers for its Halo LEO spacecraft. One significant agreement is for three next-generation satellites that will complement SNC’s Vindler RF technology. In 2025, the first block of Muon satellites is scheduled to launch.
In addition to highlighting the innovative possibilities of New Space and the agility of modular design in Muon’s Halo satellite technology, the partnership between SNC and Muon Space also highlights the combined strengths of an industry leader in ELINT/tactical sensors. Through this partnership, commercial radio solutions will be redefined, and a multitude of mission applications will receive unmatched value.
Muon Space President Gregory Smirin stressed that SNC’s choice demonstrates their advantage over competitors and dedication to seamless, integrated solutions.
Muon Space is a great investment opportunity, according to Raj Atluru of Activate Capital, who also commended the company’s technology and prospects.
Investor confidence in Muon Space’s novel strategy and commercial potential is demonstrated by the Series B fundraising round. Muon Space intends to use the proceeds from this capital round to grow its business, broaden its range of products, and keep pushing the boundaries of space-based analytics and sensing. Supporting the company’s expansion and the implementation of its strategic ambitions will be made possible by this finance.
Muon Space CEO Jonny Dyer emphasized how their expanding funding and relationships are helping them move faster toward their goal of transforming space-based intelligence into a game-changing technology for a variety of industries.
