The U.S. Navy has awarded Leonardo DRS a contract to supply essential electronic combat control and sonar systems equipment for installation throughout the service’s fleet of submarines and ally fleets. Leonardo DRS made this announcement today. Over $417 million is the contract ceiling.
The design, procurement, production, sparing, testing, installation, and support of workstations, displays, processors, and network systems, as well as the manufacturing of replacement systems, kits, and enclosures, will all be covered under the Technology Insertion Hardware TI-26 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract. Additionally, engineering and technical services will be provided. The Naval Undersea Warfare Centre, Keyport, of the United States Navy awarded the contract.
The most recent model of a constantly developing series of network, processor, and display systems for the US Navy’s Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical System family, which is necessary for US Navy submarine is the TI-26. Purchases for the Royal Australian Navy, the Foreign Military Sales program, and the United States Navy are all combined under this contract.
