Global navigation pioneer Exail has entered into a contract with defence technology expert Precision Technic Defence A/S to deliver Advans Vega Inertial Navigation Systems (INS) for incorporation into mobile surveillance systems. One of the main Northern European countries’ land forces will use these technologies on several platforms.
Although it can target with high precision and has a heading accuracy of up to 0.5 milliradians, the Advans Vega INS was selected. In military operations, when even the slightest deviation can have a major impact on mission outcomes, this level of precision is essential. In order to provide dependable navigation, surveillance, and targeting across a range of defence applications, the system is designed to retain this precision in dynamic and demanding conditions.
Precision Technic Defence Group CEO Jesper Rom Knudsen stated, “Our focus has always been on delivering solutions that provide unparalleled accuracy and reliability in the field.” “The Advans Vega INS satisfies these rigorous requirements, providing the accuracy required to ensure these surveillance systems operate effectively under even the most demanding circumstances.”
“Precision Technic Defence’s choice of the Advans Vega INS highlights the importance of our technology in vital defence applications,” stated Neil Perriton, Exail’s Head of Land Defence & Special Forces for Northern Europe. “This agreement demonstrates our commitment to providing cutting-edge navigation solutions to support military operations and strengthens our partnership with Precision Technic Defence.”
