EnduroSat, a leading innovator in modular satellite technology, today announced the successful closure of a €43 million investment round led by Founders Fund, with additional support from CEECAT Capital, Morphosis Capital, and returning investors. This major funding milestone underscores strong market confidence in EnduroSat’s groundbreaking vision and technological capabilities.
The new capital will drive rapid scaling of EnduroSat’s Endurance Gen3 ESPA-class satellites, which weigh between 200 and 500 kilograms. These software-defined satellites feature advanced avionics and a fully modular design, enabling rapid deployment of sophisticated payloads such as hyperspectral imaging, synthetic aperture radar (SAR), broadband communications, and navigation systems. The investment will also expand EnduroSat’s innovative fixed-cost constellations-as-a-service model across its European and U.S. operations.
As demand for satellites grows exponentially across commercial, scientific, and defense sectors, EnduroSat is revolutionizing satellite manufacturing by shifting from traditional aerospace supply chains to consumer electronics and automotive industries. This strategic pivot results in unmatched cost efficiency and high performance, backed by a proven track record with over 3,000 modules currently in orbit. The new Gen3 satellite class opens doors to nearly every space application opportunity with its scalable design.
Innovative Endurance Gen3 Satellite Platform
Developed from over a decade of flight experience and customer insights, the Endurance Gen3 satellites offer modular, high-performance avionics capable of delivering up to 3.5 kW peak power and 2 Gbps data rates. Built for constellation deployment and responsive missions, the satellites feature a unique cableless bus architecture designed entirely in-house, allowing assembly and functional testing within hours—dramatically reducing build times compared to traditional satellites.
Introducing Space Service: A Complete Mission Solution
Complementing its hardware innovations, EnduroSat has launched Space Service, a comprehensive offering covering the full satellite mission lifecycle. This service enables customers to focus on their core missions by managing constellation design, payload integration, launch coordination, and operations—reducing complexity, costs, and risks.
Expansion of Facilities in Europe and the United States
The funding will support the construction of a state-of-the-art 17,500 m² R&D and manufacturing facility in Sofia, set to become one of Europe’s largest space technology centers. This facility will include satellite avionics labs, multiple assembly lines, expanded cleanrooms, and advanced space qualification equipment, such as an anechoic chamber. EnduroSat targets a production rate of up to 60 satellites per month by the end of 2025 at this site. Additionally, U.S. operations will see enhancements through a new dedicated cleanroom to better serve commercial and defense customers worldwide.
Leadership Vision
“Space should be universally accessible because it fundamentally improves life on Earth,” said Raycho Raychev, Founder and CEO of EnduroSat. “Our mission is to simplify space missions by providing the infrastructure our customers need, enabling them to innovate boldly. Partnering with Founders Fund, we are excited to scale production and introduce our latest generation of satellites, making satellite constellations more reliable and affordable than ever.”
Delian Asparouhov, Partner at Founders Fund and Co-Founder and President of Varda Space Industries, added, “EnduroSat’s leap from traditional aerospace to high-efficiency supply chains sets them apart in the industry. Their new Endurance Gen3 satellites position them perfectly to meet the accelerating demand for high-performance space systems.
