The New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) has awarded Bohemia Interactive Australia (BIA) a contract for the improvement of VBS4, a virtual desktop simulation that supports more than 100 training use cases and is intended for group tactical and mission rehearsal. An enterprise-wide license and additional development by BIA are also included in the award, which will eventually result in the delivery of a bespoke simulation to the NZDF.
Additionally, the NZDF hired BIA to enhance its model of the New Zealand Light Armoured Vehicle and to maintain its TerraTools license, which allows it to generate high-fidelity, linked terrain for simulations.
We express our gratitude to the NZDF for their 15 years of trust in VBS. BIA managing director Ryan Stephenson stated, “With our VBS4 release, we are continuing our effort to provide added value. “The NZ Army’s Command and Control Systems School are real power users of simulation tools and have developed considerable expertise in leveraging simulation as a multiplier to produce training effects for their service men and women. We take great pride in our ongoing support of their endeavours.
