BAE Systems has secured a $30 million contract from the United States Navy to develop and deliver the APX-123A(V) Common Transponder, an advanced Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) system designed to enhance the safety and operational effectiveness of naval and allied forces.
The APX-123A(V) transponder is a critical technology that enables rapid and accurate identification of friendly aircraft, ships, and vehicles, reducing the risk of friendly fire incidents and improving situational awareness in complex combat environments.
This next-generation IFF system incorporates cutting-edge features to meet the evolving demands of modern warfare, ensuring secure and reliable communication between military platforms and command centers.
