A follow-on prime contract to supply the U.S. Army with technology-enabled services, such as hardware sustainment, modernization, refresher training, and logistics support, was recently granted to a Fortune 500® innovation leader. The IDIQ task order Responsive Strategic Sourcing for Services (RS3) has an 11-month base period and a maximum value of $267 million if all four of the one-year options are implemented.
Leidos’ expertise in Command, Control, Communication, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance(C5ISR) will carry out the task order by evaluating Army hardware capabilities in relation to performance standards, developing hardware configurations, and executing upgrades. Leidos will also assist in arranging for the delivery, warranty repairs, and equipment storage.
Army Contracting Command-Aberdeen Proving Ground issued the task order. Leidos’ work will assist the Force Modernization Division, the Integrated Logistics Support Center, the Communications Electronics Command, and the Field Support Directorate. Over 167,000 soldiers have received nearly 13,000 training sessions and nearly 9,000 C5ISR systems from the Leidos team since February 2011.
According to Jason McCarthy, senior vice president of engineering, integration, and operations at Leidos, “these are critical capabilities and training our customer needs to deliver and modernize tactical network environments for the warfighter at the point of need.” “We are proud to provide the Army with the digital workflows needed to support C5ISR hardware services.”
