The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) has awarded the X-Domain Technology Through Research, Evolution, Enhancement, Maintenance and Support – Next Generation (XTREEMS-NG) contract to Arcfield, a premier government technology and mission support supplier. This award, which represents follow-up work for the corporation, has a total value of over $93 million spread over five years.
Under the initiative, Arcfield will maintain complete life cycle support for the X-domain Agile Rules-Based Information Transfer OrchestratoR (X-ARBITOR) cross-domain solution (CDS) and related suite of technologies, as well as the AFRL Information Support Server Environment (ISSE). The program’s efforts will specifically enhance the safe, two-way exchange of data between networks that function at various classification levels while guarding against increasingly complex and dynamic cyberattacks.
“We are excited to continue working with AFRL on the next generation XTREEMS program,” stated Kevin Kelly, Arcfield’s chairman and CEO. “Over the past 20 years, we have made significant progress toward seamlessly secure multi-domain collaboration, and we anticipate many more years of technological innovation and advancement.”
Arcfield’s team of engineers, developers, software designers, and cyber specialists was first awarded the XTREEMS program in 2001. Since then, the team has worked closely with AFRL to improve the security and agility of cross-domain transfers for agencies within the Department of Defence, Intelligence Community, and coalition mission partners, as well as to advance the capabilities of CDSs.
