The U.S. Air Force’s IDIQ contract for Communications and Enterprise IT Support Services (COMET) was awarded to two winners, including Akima Global Technology (AGT), a subsidiary of Akima, a leading supplier of goods and services to the federal government. The award has a $750 million contract value with a 10-year performance period.

AGT under this contract, will manage the lifecycle replacement of related IT hardware and equipment, operate VTC facilities and conference centres, administer a 24/7/365 service desk that supports over 4,500 employees across 37 distinct networks, develop and support IT service management practices and procedures, and provide cybersecurity support for the National Air and Space Intelligence Centre’s IT enterprise, including software vulnerability testing, cybersecurity policy/process/training, cybersecurity compliance management, network auditing, and end-point security. The delivery of these services is slated to commence in February 2034 and take place at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio as well as Springfield Air National Guard Base in Ohio.
