Olena Kryzhanivska is an independent researcher with a PhD in Political and Social Sciences. She has previously provided expert analysis for the Norwegian Embassy in Turkey and the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs. Currently, Olena monitors weapons transfers, military cooperation, and defense production in Ukraine, with a focus on arms control efforts. Olena is associated with the Washington-based NGO Forum on the Arms Trade, where, as an Emerging Expert, she contributes to monitoring efforts on arms transfers to Ukraine. Additionally, Olena supports the London-based ‘Action on Armed Violence‘ mass-shooting database project as a volunteer research assistant.
