The Egyptian Space Agency (“EgSA”) and USPACE Technology Group Limited are pleased to announce that the Group has signed a strategic partnership agreement concerning satellite manufacturing and testing, satellite launch, education, and training. This agreement significantly expands USPACE Technology Group Limited’s commercial presence in the rapidly expanding African space market.
The Group’s African aerospace growth will take a major stride forward with the establishment of one of Egypt’s first commercial aerospace enterprises, a joint venture between USPACE and EgSA in Cairo. Their cooperation entails the establishment of global space laboratory in Cairo, satellite manufacturing and precision component centres at Egyptian Space City, and a satellite constellation for communication and remote sensing across Africa. Comprehensive space technology cooperation, including design, programming, component manufacture, payload development, satellite assembly, and testing, will also be a major focus of the alliance.
Egyptian Space City, the home of the African Space Agency, is the base of EgSA, which was founded in January 2018. By virtue of the Strategic Partnership Agreement, USPACE will have access to EgSA’s network of regional government space agencies as well as its aerospace technology and capabilities, including satellite production plants. Through this collaboration, USPACE’s globalization strategy and presence in Africa are strengthened, and innovative core satellite products and a comprehensive aerospace ecosystem are built.
The Group launched disruptively affordable commercial optical satellites on July 25, 2024, to commemorate the opening of its ASPACE Hong Kong Satellite Manufacturing Centre. These satellites range in price from USD 35,000 to USD 990,000. They have resolutions of 5 to 0.5 meters. The centrepiece is a satellite with a 0.5-meter resolution that costs USD 990,000. The Group also intends to provide around a hundred different kinds of satellite services and components. With this launch, the company hopes to enhance market share in the international commercial aerospace sector, grow its client base, and raise brand awareness.
