The Air Force Research Laboratory has given BAE Systems a $48 million contract to develop the Insight system. With the use of multiple intelligence signal processing, domain analysis multi-level fusion, predictive analytics, machine learning, and automation, Insight is a next-generation Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) exploitation and resource management system that bridges the gaps in today’s military intelligence analysis capabilities.
The development and integration of airborne programs, such as Resolute Sentry, which offers real-time multi-domain battlespace awareness in intensely contested areas, is a major component of this effort. Under the terms of this contract, BAE Systems will integrate the Insight system with operational and developmental systems, conduct demonstrations for potential transition opportunities, and mature Insight system components to meet operational needs through improvements.
Meg Redlin, product line director for Mission Systems at BAE Systems, stated, “This most recent Insight award demonstrates the confidence the government has in BAE Systems’ ability to deliver complex solutions to tough operational and intelligence challenges.” “This also demonstrates our dedication to creating and ultimately converting technology, as well as our partnership with our FAST Labs research and development organization.”
In order to provide methods for creating threat course of action ratings from various sensors, domains, and information types—including modelling, simulation, algorithm development, assessment, and demonstrations—this endeavour will carry over the work completed on earlier contracts.
