Mistral Solutions, a top embedded design and system engineering firm owned by AXISCADES Technologies Ltd., has reached a noteworthy milestone by obtaining a sizable order from Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a renowned aerospace and defence electronics business.
The Government of India owns a corporation in Bangalore. For the Arudhra Medium Powered Radar (MPR), the order calls for the design, development, and supply of eight Radar Processing Systems. The systems would be supplied over the course of four years, with a gross order value of ₹90 Crore. The MPR is an in-house rotating active phased array multifunction 4D radar that can automatically identify and track a wide range of aerial targets, including combat aircraft and slow-moving targets. This order is the outcome of DRDO’s sustained efforts since 2012 to create and build an indigenous Radar, having subcontracted Mistral for the Design and Development of the RADAR Signal Processing system.
Arun Krishnamurthi, CEO and MD of AXISCADES Technologies, commented on this event, saying, “We are honoured to obtain this major order from BEL for the provision of Radar Systems for Processing. This order is a major step in our commitment to provide cutting-edge technology solutions to strengthen India’s defence capabilities. We are actively supporting domestic defence programs. Through this initiative, our standing as a major participant in the Indian defence technology ecosystem would be strengthened even more. We are still dedicated to using our superiority and inventiveness in technology to make significant contributions to the security of the country.”
“We have successfully designed and developed these systems to meet the highest standards of performance and reliability by utilizing our extensive experience and capabilities in defence technology, Mr. Mujahid Alam, CEO of Mistral Solutions, continued. With this accomplishment, we hope to use our team’s experience to help India become more independent and self-sufficient in sophisticated defence engineering systems.”
This is among Mistral’s initial liquid-cooled system designs in the nation. This robust system was created from the ground up by AXISCADES subsidiary Mistral, and it is certified for use in harsh environmental settings. DRDO presented the RADAR Signal Processing technology during the 2017 Republic Day parade. Following several years of field testing, the Arudhra Radar is now ready to be inducted
into the Indian Armed Forces – a proud moment for AXISCADES Technologies and all Indians.
